Welcome to the 2015 Market Season!
Join us WEDNESDAY in the Terwillegar Recreation Center Parking Lot from 4:00-7:30

We're excited for our fantastic 2015 Opening Day and hope you are too! Join us for a great evening featuring the continuation of our Sprouts Program for kids, performances by the wonderful Puppets on a String, a great new food truck lineup and your favourite vendors, old and new.

For market shopping tips, be sure to check out this page to ensure your market visit is everything it should be. And remember, please leave Fido at home- no dogs are allowed where food is being served! 

  

We are very excited to be continuing our Sprouts Program for kids this season. Children between 4-12 will receive a $2 token every week to spend with our fruit and vegetable vendors, along with their own mini shopping bag to fill with healthy produce. This season, ALL children will get their tokens with no waiting lists. For more information on the Sprouts Program, click here. 


Puppets on a String is back for opening day this season! This local group will be performing a puppet show for children by the info tent. Be sure to stop by and say hello to the puppeteers and their fuzzy pals!

The Southwest Edmonton Farmers' Market aims to enhance and support our vibrant community. Check out how to engage with your neighbours this week!

The Edmonton Food Bank will be in our community tent accepting donations and promoting their Plant a Row, Grow a Row program. Learn what you can plant in your garden this year to help those less fortunate come harvest time and be sure to bring a non-perishable food item to donate!

Servus Credit Union is proudly sponsoring the Southwest Edmonton Farmer’s Market again this year and will be on site beside the community tent on opening day. They will have a Bean Bag Toss game for kids of all ages and prizes for every participant! Along with all of the fun, there will also be a chance to win a $50 gift card! Come by the Servus tent to try it out!
Innovation Physical Therapy is back for a third year and proud to partner with their community by sponsoring the SWEFM. They will be out quite a few times this year. Come and help them kick off this season by visiting the Innovation Physical Therapy tent and testing your anatomy skills for a prize! Muscles tired from walking the market or carrying your purchases? Enter their draw for a new TENS machine to help manage your aches and pains. Feel free to pick their brains with any injury or physical therapy questions you may have. Innovation Physical Therapy - Love Getting Better!"
 

Dargatz Family Farm will be bringing four culinary herb pots to market: an Italian Chef’s Choice collection (green basil, purple basil, lemon thyme, rosemary and two kinds of oregano); a Country Kitchen collection (green basil, curled parsley, English thyme, purple sage, sweet marjoram and garlic chives); a Janie’s Choice collection (a bush beefsteak tomato surrounded with basil, oregano, parsley and rosemary) and a Fish and Seafood collection (French tarragon, Spanish mint and lemon thyme), which comes with a recipe for an Herb Butter Sauce that uses these three herbs). The first three pots will be $28, and the seafood mix $16.
Holden Colony will be bringing a variety of vegetables and preserves.
S4 Greenhouses will be bringing tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce and more!


Sunworks Farm brings a variety of grass-fed and organic meats to market. Be sure to stop by for a sample!
Jerky Jerky will be bringing a variety of dried jerky products. Yum!


Celebrate, Gluten Free is the perfect option for those with gluten sensitivities. This week, they will be bringing fresh bread and buns!
Sweet Stuff is back this season with her delicious and adorable mini and full-sized cupcakes. They're perfect for a sweet little treat!
Confetti Sweets is our resident specialty cookie vendor at SWEFM. Try a coconut cookie this week; they're fabulous!
Prairie Mill Baking Co. is back this season with their locally-baked bread. They have something for everyone, so say hello this week! 
Cakes by Oma will be back at SWEFM this season, bringing her delicious cakes made with wholesome ingredients like real butter, lemon rind and fresh fruit. 
Treats Baked by Stephanie is a new vendor at our market, specializing in mini cheesecakes. This week, they will have Brownie, White Chocolate Raspberry and New York Style.  Every two weeks we do a featured flavour, and for the next two weeks we will be featuring Cherry Cheesecake Tarts. They also sell Honey Beer Bread and Gourmet Muffins; this week's flavours are Lemon Blueberry and Pumpkin Cheesecake.  Make sure to stop by for a sample!
Oodles of Chocolates is another new baker at SWEFM, specializing in cake pops and small treats. 


 

Cravings Gelato will be bringing their fantastic gelato in a wide variety of flavours. Get more than one... we won't judge!
Better Than Your Nan's is a new vendor this year, bringing a variety of muesli, nut butters and chia seed jams (with delicious flavours like Blueberry Vanilla and Spiced Raspberry!). All of Better Than Your Nan's products are vegan, and they have gluten-free options as well. Follow them on Facebook or Twitter for 5% off!
Cafe Bel-Air will be bringing fresh, handmade popsicles to market, including Licorice Gelato, Blueberry Basil, Strawberry Mint, Chai and more!
Herbal Approach Health Food is another new vendor, specializing in hand-blended teas. This week, try the Smoked Maple Oolong Tea; this smoky best-selling breakfast tea is destined to provide you with the rich flavour it is loved for!
Melodi's Kitchen is our favourite Turkish food vendor and will be bringing all of their popular dishes for you to try. 
Pink Taffeta Catering will be joining us this season, bringing their delicious focaccia and arancini balls this week. 
Shade Lane Estates is our new resident winery this season, bringing a variety of delicious fruit wines to market. 
Tamiri Bites will be bringing raw vegan rolls, treats and snacks to market.
Mini Kitchen specializes in delicious Indian and Thai food. Stop by and say hello!
Theo's Greek Kouzina bringing their well-loved greek dips and treats to market this week.


Bully Food Truck is back and is excited to serve up another summer of drool-worthy comfort food using fresh and local ingredients.
Fat Franks is back and will be ready to serve you their delicious hot dogs and smokies with all the fixings!
The Pink Kernel will be at market for all of you who can't turn down childhood favourites like mini doughnuts, cotton candy and snow cones.
Original Canadian Kettle Corn, a farmers' market staple, will be here this week satisfying all of your cravings for this summer favourite!
Yellowbird Food Truck is back this season with their Japanese fusion cuisine.
Knosh Food Truck will be joining us all season with their UK comfort food. 
Casa 12 Doce is new to our food truck line-up this year, and will be serving up their fantastic fresh Mexican food. 
La Poutine is back with their delicious Poutine, with exciting feature flavours to try!


Ada's Soap Shop is joining us again this season, so be sure to stop by to try their wonderful handmade soap and bodycare products.
Carmen's Jewelry is back at SWEFM with her beautiful leather and beaded jewelry. This year, she'll be bringing a kids' line, so be sure to stop by with the little ones!
Cheeky Diaper Co. will be joining us this year, selling their beautiful cloth diapers that are designed and sewn in Edmonton. 
Envi Designs makes sturdy totes out of recycled patio umbrella fabric. They are perfect for carrying market goodies!
Prairie Cedar Creations is back with us this season, selling beautiful handmade cutting boards, planters and more. Talk to Daryl about a custom piece for your garden or deck!
Wild Fire Market will be joining us with their adorable wooden signs, vases and home decor. All of their items are handmade in Edmonton! 
Uniquely Greek will be bringing handmade cheeseboards made from wine bottles. They're a wonderful belated Mother's Day gift!
