One of our favourite parts about coming to the market is the ability to meet, chat with, and support small local businesses. From regional farmers to passion-projects, we have a wonderful diversity of indivduals and families at SWEFM all turning their dreams into reality (with your help!). Be sure to visit some new vendors this week to explore their products and learn more about what drives them to bake, make or grow year after year.
The Sprouts Program for kids continues this week! Children between 4-12 will receive a $2 token every week to spend with our fruit and vegetable vendors. We will have a bouncy castle on-site for some family entertainment, along with our balloon artists, hopscotch, and face painter.
The Edmonton Area Land Trust will be in the Community Tent this week, providing information about the natural spaces in and around Edmonton and the ways we can help maintain these natural spaces for everyone to enjoy.
AIG Produce Osoyoos will be joining us this week with cherries, apples, strawberries and apple chips.
Red Apple B.C. Fruit will be joining us for the first time this season with their cherries and other B.C. Fruits.
Steve and Dan's Fresh B.C. Fruit will be bringing apples, pears, strawberries, as well as their dehydrated apples and sparkling apple juice.
Lactuca Urban Farm will be bringing their hyperlocal mix (salad greens), Sylvetta arugula, and garlic scapes.
Jerky Jerky will be bringing a variety of dried jerky products. They always have samples to try, so be sure to say hello!
Sunworks Farm, a certified organic and certified humane farm, will have their fresh chicken – wholes and all cuts along with their beef and pork cuts.
Calico Baking will have lemon scones, almond croissants, and savoury whole wheat croissants with either spinach & feta or Irving's ham and Swiss.
Celebrate, Gluten Free is the perfect option for those with gluten sensitivities. Lee-Anne has introduced bagels to her lineup of gluten-free baked goods, and they've been a hit!
Fresh 2 Share will be bringing swiss braided breads and a variety of other baked goods including meringues.
Sandra's Macarons will be bringing her bright and delicious array of hand-made macarons this week.
Sweet Stuff will be bringing her delicious cupcakes, croissants, and cookies to market. This week, she is featuring coconut lime, Skor, and maple cupcakes!
Café Bel-Air will be bringing fresh, handmade popsicles to market. All of Cafe Bel-Air's popsicles are free of gluten and tree nuts, and they have vegan options available as well!
Crafty Cooks will be back this week with their delicious take-home meals. This week they'll be sampling Yellow Split Pea & Ham Soup and Pasta Sauce.
Honest Dumplings is bringing their handmade dumplings in delicious flavours like Maple Pork Belly, Mixed Mushrooms with Truffle Oil, and Spicy Tofu with Peanuts!
Jamaican Chefmon will be bringing his Jamaican food this week, including Jamacian patties, condiments and more.
Knosh is back this week with scones, eccle cakes, cheese and onion pasty, steak and kidney pie, scotch eggs and a few other traditional British baked pies and sweets.
O'Delight will be bringing their homemade Moroccan foods.
The Ruby Apron will be back this week, bringing prepared foods made with local ingredients. Kaelin's tomato soup features Rock Ridge Dairy’s jersey milk, and this past week she made a trip out to the dairy to see their plant and farm. Stop by her tent to hear all about it!
Sweet and Spicy is back this week with their hand-blended spice mixes, sauces, salsas and jellies.
Square 1 Coffee will be serving up fresh coffee and selling bags of coffee beans from craft roasters around Western Canada and United States.
Thai Sab Food Co. will be bringing her delicious Thai foods along with her salad rolls- they sell out every week, so come early to pick up yours!
Urban Pierogies will be joining us for the first time this week with their fresh pierogies in unique flavour combinations. They'll be sampling their potato, black bean and cumin flavour.
La Poutine is back this week with hand-cut fries and Authentic poutine!
Pink Taffeta Catering will be joining us this week with Sweet Curry Chicken with Naan, Gnocchi with Rose Sauce and Summer Chickpea Wrap, along with homemade ice cream and (possibly) tiramisu.
